    In one word.....'yawn'...

Reeves has about 12 pathetically written lines in this woefully underdeveloped story.
It nearly, if not totally disrespects the honor deserving of this Japanese cultural legend it suposedly was meant to champion.

Weak, sophomoric, bland, superficial & dull as the wrong edge of a samurai sword.

Agreed. Could be a GREAT story if developed right, but I think this one stumbled and false-started.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I was in Best Buy rooting around and came across this DVD again. I picked it up primarily because I like Val Kilmer and David Mamet and figured that they could make a pretty good movie together. The premise is that Kilmer (who has put on a few pounds) is a veteran Secret Service agent....

Oy, a promising premise gone terribly wrong. This film was underdeveloped, and as alluded to before, there are some strange and whacked out plot elements that make me want to go strictly with digital photography to put out to pasture guys like Sy Parrish, the lead character in the film.
