Rhames' character was a heavyweight champion but lost his title and was sent to prison on a rape conviction. He takes his anger out on other prisonmates by beating the poo out of them.
Snipes is a professional fighter, doing time for killing a man. He is the resident undisputed champion fighter of all the illegal fights set up at this prison by crooked guard, Michael Rooker. When Rhames hears about him he wants a match with Snipes and , thanks to Rooker, eventually gets it.
I won't say who wins, as that would ruin it for you, but I will say there is some of the finest boxing choreography I have ever seen on film.
Nice looking transfer and sound is about average.
