Here's what's on the viewing schedule

Just got these the other day. Not sure when I'll get chance to view, but working at it:
Planet Of The Apes;Cape Fear (the original B&W from 1963);The Young Lions;Invasion USA(watched the other night);Lone Wolf McQuade; The Dogs Of War;Sudden Impact(watched last night); The Angry Red Planet;Wargods of The Deep;(these last two are schlocky films from the sixties).
I'll comment on any worth commenting on.

Oh,yeah, almost forgot: add Too Late The Hero to that list. It's an early Cliff Robertson,Michael Caine war movie.

I saw Dogs of War in the theater, and thought it was a great show! That's one movie that I really liked Christopher Walkin as the tough guy!

I haven't seen it since and hope it has aged well....

I'm looking forward to watching it as well. However,it is an MGM release, so I am not expecting anything fantastic as far as quality of transfer.

My horrible new budget doesn't kick in until January 2002, so I'm buying like mad right now.

Fox HD Friday Nights Schedule! Star Wars II, Spiderman etc..
            by Shane Martin
Upon seeing Maid in Manhatten last week in HD(OAR) and 5.1 I thought perhaps this was a one shot deal. Last night I saw a promotion that they will do this every Friday night.

They are censored/cut so we can eliminate that much of the debate right now(complain elsewhere) but they are...

            This Means War
            by George Bellefontaine
Two CIA operatives and close buddies end up in all out warfare after they discover they are both dating the same woman. The guys are Chris Pine and Tom Hardy and the girl is cute and sexy Reese Witherspoon. It's an action/romantic comedy that makes good viewing for couples. It's the kind of film I would...

            Enigma--well worth a viewing
            by Ovation
Just showed a little gem to my class earlier today. Enigma is set at Bletchley Park where the codebreakers worked on cracking the German Enigma codes. A quiet suspense-thriller with some great acting (especially by Dougray Scott and Jeremy Northam) of a kind only the British seem to know how to make....

Passchendaele not your odinary war film
            by George Bellefontaine
This is a Canadian made World War One film starring Paul Gross, a well known and respected Canadian actor who also wrote and directed Passchendaele. Gross was intrigued by a story told to him by his grandfather, Michael Dunne, about how he bayoneted a young German to death and how it haunted him until...

            RTS Real War
            by Bing Fung

Any thoughts on the RTS game "Real War"? I just downloaded the demo of it and may purchase the full game. Real war has the elements that I like, strategic gaming with modern day weapons. As much as I liked "Age Of Empires", I longed for a RTS game where it was not...
