Fox HD Friday Nights Schedule! Star Wars II, Spiderman etc..

Upon seeing Maid in Manhatten last week in HD(OAR) and 5.1 I thought perhaps this was a one shot deal. Last night I saw a promotion that they will do this every Friday night.

They are censored/cut so we can eliminate that much of the debate right now(complain elsewhere) but they are in OAR and 5.1 sound(so far...)

    Schedule:

    4/29 Spiderman
    5/6 Rush Hour 2
    5/13 X-Men
    5/20 Shallow Hal
    5/22(sunday) Star Wars II AOTC
    5/27 Me, Myself and Irene
    6/3 Glass House
    6/10 Exit Wounds
    6/17 Wedding Singer
    6/24 American Pie 2
    7/1 Cats and Dogs
    7/8 Joy Ride
    7/15 Barbershop
    7/22 Undercover Brother

Hmmm... I don't think I get Fox HD on DirecTV. If I do, I'm there in a heartbeat.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Am I one of the few that don't find them as good of quality as the DVDs?

I don't know, I get FOX HD (best HD channel I have) and while the broadcasts are amazing (enjoyed Nascar HD yesterday), you can tell that the movies are just upconverted to HD quality. Which is a lot like the regular broadcasts watched in HD, while a little better, it's still not that great. To me, watching the DVD still is the better of the choices. That and the sound while good...doesn't compare to the fidelty that comes off the DVD.

To me, it's just much easier (uncensored) to pop in the DVD and enjoy it even more.

I mean don't get me wrong, if I was sitting there watching TV and had the analog viewing of Fox to watch it on or the HD, I'll take HD all the way! But if I have the DVD... I'm watching that for a better picture (in my opinion) and better sound.
      Digital Audio makes me Happy.
