the Shining, and it's shiny new transfer!

Sunday I decided to have a double Jack...no not a double shot of Jack Daniels, a double shot of Jack Nicholson.
First up was the excellent "the Pledge", then come intermission at the beach for a nice long walk with my sweetie, then of coarse..."the Shining".
I consider this to be one of Jack's best performances. I swear there are times he doesn't even have to speak, his face says it all.
This transfer is full framed (which is correct) and looks excellent most of the time. It does get alittle soft here and there, but it's not distracting, and never takes away from the viewing experience.
The new 5.1 soundtrack adds a new dimension to the film and I'm glad to have it. That said the original soundtrack is not included, and should be. I'd never use it, but the purest would...or at least say they would. I myself can't understand why anyone would listen to anything but the best possible soundtrack, but, to each his own...Kenny

    TRON Legacy soundtrack clipping
    by Rod#S
    Hello;

I picked up TRON Legacy last week and when viewing I noticed numerous times what seemed to be distortion/clipping coming from my front speakers from the intense soundtrack. This has been the first film I have noticed this occur on any movie and I was wondering if anyone else has...

    DVD/Soundtrack combo

Would you spend an extra $10 - $12 dollars on top of the DVD price if the soundtrack was included? Just like a flipper DVD, you could have the movie on one side and the soundtrack on the other.

Some movies I would really like this option, such as Almost Famous. I've also heard the Finding...

    Audiophile's soundtrack?
    by KennyG
What do you consider the best sounding movie soundtrack you own?...if you were having an audiophile friend over to see and hear your HT, what movie would you put on to show off the sound?
For me it's "the Whole Nine Yards", this is absolutely the most realistic soundtrack yet, and the...

This transfer will knock your socks off
    by George Bellefontaine
It's a French film entitled Brotherhood Of The Wolf. It's a very long film( 2 1/2 hours) and it dragged at times, but it didn't matter to me, I was just too busy soaking up this gorgeous transfer. IMO, this transfer is even better than the Fifth Element Superbit. The colors, the deep contrast and the...

Please help me to understand the transfer function of a bi-pole.

In the past I have used the baffle simulator in Jeff B's Response Modeler 2.1 to visualize the transfer function of a dipole based on the the total path length (x dimension) from driver to driver.

    I imagine...
