Maybe I just don't like Cronenburg, but I wasn't really gripped by this last night. Better than the ludicrous "A History of Violence", but not much depth of character or plot. Like a film student with a high budget. One has to wonder how much of Viggo's ass wound up on the cutting-room floor.

I quite enjoyed it (though I had to settle for the SD DVD rental--my local video store didn't have it in HD DVD. Looked pretty good regardless). I will likely add this to my collection (in HD DVD) at some point.

Finally got around to watching it. Definitely engrossing, but it would only be a one time watch for me so I'm glad I only rented it. This is probably a pretty good picture of what the Russian Mafia is really like in cities like London.

Yeah I haven't watched this movie again and not sure I will although it was a good film it just didn't have me pulled in enough for a second watch.

Watched it on HBO recently. Decent, but not a purchase for me.

I've added it to my collection of HD DVDs (though, as of today, I'm officially "purple" with a PS3--the MGS4 bundle that also has SACD playback, so I have a backup SACD player now, finally and, oh yeah, I can watch BD movies and play games too ).

I can understand why for many people this would be a "watch once" movie, but I found Morgensen's performance worth repeat viewings.
