    Born into Brothels

    Rented it.

    A moving documentary about a photographer who teaches photography to a small group of children from Calcutta's Red Light District. They then record their lives on film, and the documentary follows this process along with the photographer's struggle to get them into decent schools.

    Involving from start to finish, and leaves a mark on you.

    It was the Academy Award Winner for Best Documentary.

    Highly recommended... :4: out of :5:

          This is a documentary made by a western female freelance photographer, Zana Briski, who lived in the red light district of Calcutta, India, while working on assignment. She befriended the children of the sex workers, and taught them to use 35 mm cameras that she gave them.
