    Fever Pitch

    Rented it.

A great comedy! Although for us New Englanders, some of this was pure drama with no comedy involved. Others who don't know the history may find it over the top, but here it's a day to day ordeal.

    I still check RedSox.Com twice daily... :B

:35: out of :5: A great romantic comedy. I'll pick it up when I can find it onsale or 2nd hand. Worth atleast a rent for anyone who enjoys baseball.

I saw this one in the cinema. If you're a Red Sox fan or a Drew Barrymore fan (I'm both), you'll enjoy this movie.

I prefer to watch Pride of the Yankees. I like movies about 26 World Titles rather than 1 :B

I'm wondering what the difference between the 2 versions of this movie I saw at Best Buy. I'm guessing the extras but I don't know.

On Amazon.com there are 3 versions: butchered edition, widescreen edition, and a Boston Red Sox Collector's Edition, that has a seamlessly branched extended ending for Red Sox fans (probably shows more of them winning the series).

The collectors Edition was called the "Reverse the Curse edition" or something like that. It had a different slipcase that's for sure. I believe it was the same price but I wasn't paying attention.

I love all these guys who are Yankee fans while they ignore they're own local teams. Amazing how many fans the Yanks gain as their payroll goes sky-high over 200mil.

Ah man I love it. Not only are we 2.5 games up on the Yankees, but they're a game out for the Wild Card behind the Indians! As of now they aren't even set for the playoffs! :roflmao:

But Nick, you've got to understand that Shane's "local" team is the Texas Rangers.

Actually I'm just picking on Nicholas. I'm not a Yankee fan one bit. My next door neighbor played for the Dodgers so I'm a Dodger fan and yes I know they stink. My local teams are the Sooners and that's about it. No pro team with several hundred miles from me(4 hours drive each way). The Other teams I support(Dallas Cowboys and St Louis Blues(went to college in that area).

Feel free to have fun with it Andrew

I'm amazed people think I was a Yankee fan by mentioning that.

JUst finished watching this movie. It was enjoyable and cute. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. What was pretty cool was they started filming this show not really expecting the Sox to win the world series.

Watched it last night. Quite enjoyable. You know, I was never big on Jimmy Fallon on SNL, but he is a much better actor than I thought he would be. He and Drew seemed to connect, too, and that really helped things.

The film makers were very smart here: a chick flick and a man flick combined. They couldn't go wrong.
