    THE PACIFIER a pleasant surprise

I just rented this on a whim, not expecting much, especially after watching Tommy Lee Jones makes a fool of himself in Man Of The House , but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Vin Diesel plays a Navy Seal assigned to protect the family of an assinated scientist. The story line is kind of hokey, but the fun is when Diesel has to be the baby sitter when the mother has to go out of town. Diesel does comedy straight up as if he were doing an action/drama and it works. PQ is pretty good and the audio is nothing sensational expect for when the action sequences take place. I found this an entertaining 90 minutes and a rental worth the money.

:35: out of 5 . I would have given it 4 stars if not for the hokey plotline and an ending you could see coming a mile away. It didn't matter. The attraction here is Vin Diesel out of his element.

We enjoyed it for what it was and you're right about the hokey plot. The comedy was a little forced at times but over all it was better then we expected.

Unlike some of other Disney movies, I thought this was for kids only. I was utterly bored by this movie. In fact, I had to stop watching it in the middle and wait a couple of days to recover from its utter badness before I finished watching it. Then again, I guess the point of this movie wasn't a believable plot or character develpment. I can see that if you have kids in the house, this wouldn't be that bad of a movie.

Being a Korean, I thought that the fact that Vin Diesel spoke better Korean than the Korean couple (supposed to be anyway) living next door was mildly amusing (and disturbing).

Just Like Heaven a pleasant watch

Every now and then I like to get away from the heavy drama stuff and the action flicks and sit down with my wife and watch something I feel we would both enjoy. Just Like Heaven filled the bill. It stars Reese Witherspoon as a young dedicated doctor ( so much dedicated that she doesn't have a life)...

Hi, I just upgrade my centre speaker from Mission 75c to the B&W LCR600 S3, and I'm having some problems with it, there is some distortion on certain dialogue that on my old Mission does not exists. I've changed to another LCR600 from the seller but the problem was still there. We tested the 2 LCR...
