I just rented this on a whim, not expecting much, especially after watching Tommy Lee Jones makes a fool of himself in Man Of The House , but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
Vin Diesel plays a Navy Seal assigned to protect the family of an assinated scientist. The story line is kind of hokey, but the fun is when Diesel has to be the baby sitter when the mother has to go out of town. Diesel does comedy straight up as if he were doing an action/drama and it works. PQ is pretty good and the audio is nothing sensational expect for when the action sequences take place. I found this an entertaining 90 minutes and a rental worth the money.
:35: out of 5 . I would have given it 4 stars if not for the hokey plotline and an ending you could see coming a mile away. It didn't matter. The attraction here is Vin Diesel out of his element.
