    Man Of The House

What the .... ? Has Tommy Lee Jones lost it ? What a waste of talent, time and money. I know it was supposed to be funny, but I didn't even crack a smile. And Jones was a producer, too. Holy smokes????

Basically, the story involves a group of cheerleaders who witness a crime. Tommy Lee Jones plays a Texas Ranger who is assigned the task of protecting them until they go to trial. Seeing Jones surrounded by a bevy of sexy cheerleaders made him look awfully old and tired, and made me feel even older than I already am.
Just a rental, and only if you can't find anything better to watch.

    :2: For the cute cheerleaders.

It could just be me, but I just thought it was a terrible effort at humor. Now it does have some cute cheerleaders, so maybe you should try a rental, Andrew.

        The Hunted

Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Deltoro star in this simply plotted flick. Tommy Lee's character trained men to kill for Special Forces, and he trained Benicio a little too well. Benicio loses it after a succession of assignments and starts killing people in the homeland. The beginning shows him dissing...

I saw the new Tommy Lee Jones movie today. Left the theater a little unsure whether I would recommend this film or not. Very well acted and directed by Mr. Jones, but there were some odd sequences that left me a little ambivalent.

Probably have to recommend waiting for this to hit...

        Valley Of Elah
        by George Bellefontaine
This powerful drama was written and directed by Paul Haggis and has a lot of the realism we saw in Crash. Valley stars Tommy Lee Jones as the ex-military father of a soldier son who has gone missing from the base after his return from Iraq. Susan Saradon plays the anguished wife and Charlize Theron...

If you enjoy movies that make you feel as well as think, take a look at Oliver Stone's "Heaven & Earth", this is Stone at his best! (aren't they all?) An absolute triumph, from the beauty of pre-war Vietnam, to the terror that was Vietnam, to the strange gluttony that is America.
