If you enjoy movies that make you feel as well as think, take a look at Oliver Stone's "Heaven & Earth", this is Stone at his best! (aren't they all?) An absolute triumph, from the beauty of pre-war Vietnam, to the terror that was Vietnam, to the strange gluttony that is America.
It's the story of a strong woman who endures with the help of her family, and an american Marine who can't.
Joan Chen is absolutely mesmerizing, portraying a woman of much internal strength and beauty. Tommy Lee Jones is only in about 1/4 of the scenes, but this may be his best work of all.
The transfer is very good, no compliants here, and the sound is clean and clear and realistic.
You can't go wrong with this masterpiece...but be careful, it's a very powerful piece of work...Kenny
