I have to admit to being hot 'n cold on Mel Brooks movies. Young Frankenstein is one of my essential films, Blazing Saddles is a great, great comedy that he almost ruins with the ending, and Spaceballs just flat never made it out of the batter's box. It's been a looong time since I've tried to watch this, so maybe a new enhanced for 16x9 release is a good time to try again..

Wow, really David? I would have thought that you'd be a Spaceballs fan. I guess it's the Star Wars fan in me coupled with being a pilot and a very off sense of humor that makes me love Spaceballs.

When they show the picture of Princess Vespa's old nose, it's so far over to the right side of the frame that the nose is cut off (unless you are fortunate enough to have a setup with no overscan). It kinda spoils the joke when you can't see the nose. :EOriginally posted by Chris Dotur
