    Nightmare vs Friday The 13th

Hollywood must be desperate for new horror material. Look for Freddy versus Jason, I believe this month. Not for this fellow, though. I enjoyed the first Nightmare and the first 13th, but the sequels really got to be ridiculous.

Real hardcore horror fans will probably rejoice. Sorta reminds me of the years ( many years ) past when Universal tried to keep boxoffice interest in their horror franchise of Wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula, etc., by creating films where they were at odds with one another. Didn't like it then, don't like it now.

Yes, this is definitely a "skipper". I wouldn't go see this one, even if someone else was footing the bill.
Freddy vs. Jason. Yeah. Whatever. :smackbutt:

Almost as bad a concept as putting J Lo and Ben Affleck in the same movie. Talk about horror flicks! :>)

Actually, count me in the interested lot. I seem to recall that Freddy vs. Jason has been on the books for a long time. It was scheduled and then re-scheduled and so-on and so-on. I think the concept goes back to the days of SCREAM...maybe even further than that.

With regards to Universal's monsters....get ready for Van Helsing  http://www.vanhelsing.net/

Nope, not animated. It stars Hugh Jackman (X-Men, X-Men II, Swordfish) as the vampire hunting doctor, and Kate Beckinsale (Brokedown Palace, Pearl Harbor, Serendipity). It's listed as being in post-production with a tentative release date of May 7, 2004 for the US and Canada. Oooh, I hope it's a good 'un!

It sure sounds it. Now this could be something to look forward too.

                    Halloween and spooky movies
                    by Gordon Moore
With Halloween fast approaching I thought it would be fun to create a list of those special horror/thriller type movies that run in the vein (pun intended) of Halloween.

Here are some of my favs:

                    American Werewolf in London
                    The Howling
                    Dracula (Coppola's)...

                    by ht_addict

With it being my day of I figured I rent a movie. Went into my local Blockbuster and picked up Freddy vs Jason. After watching it I knew I should have kept my promise after watching Jason X, never to rent one of these slasher movies again. This wasn't even a check your brain at the door...
