    Hey David,

I have tried to post "my 25" three times and the post has not shown up. Any idea what's happening?

Bruce, I got your post earlier today and have already put it in the spreadsheet and subsequently the post. That's WEIRD. I mean I can see all three posts! 8O

        It's a sad, sad, day

I can't believe that "Ronin", "Snatch", and "Lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels" didnt make it!

          5. Schindler's list
          6. The Hill (1950's with Sean Connery)

          14. The game
          15. Men in black

Suyver, your votes (all 29 of them ) are in. Just an FYI, you, Lex and Gordon Moore have the distinction of being the only voters to go over the 25 title limit.

With suyver's votes, I'm upping the minimum to make the list to 4 votes. That'll cut the number on the list back to 19 as there are 39 movies with 3 votes or more.

            More, more. . . . !

I sincerely disagree. Godfather and BttF are really just two movies and not six! I at least always watch them in direct succession (which makes for an interesting night in the case of Godfather )

              Cheers,
              Freek Suyver.

I've done it three times so far. The first time was with a few friends. We started in the afternoon, ate home-cooked Italian pasta (one of my friends is Italian) and drank too much Chianti. It was lot's of fun. Strangely, none of my friends have accepted my invitation to watch the whole movie (I still think it's one one movie 8) ) again. Even though I have a good wine-cellar and an even better HT. Strange!

                        Thanks David!

And yes, I am aware of the upcoming release of Soylent Green. It has been a long wait for this one. I just hope that they were able to clean it up a bit video wise. The VHS version had a few issues.

I have Soylent Green on laserdisc. Unfortunately I was only able to get the P&S version. The picture on the ld isn't that great either, so I am looking forward to the dvd in widsecreen. The pic's just gotta be better.

Looking at the list of Top 25 Movies, I found that I have DVD's of every one on the list that has been released, and will buy the DVD of the others once available. How about you?

Hmmm, does that mean I just follow the crowd, or that we all have good taste?

I have DVDs of the ones on MY list that have been released... and the laser disc of the only other one on my list that has not yet been released to DVD. I don't plan to buy DVDs just because four other people say they like other movies more. :>)

I wasn't saying that I'd buy based on someone else's ownership, just that of the movies on the Top 25 list, I know and enjoy each of them enough that I WILL own them eventually. Now, once the list changes again, that may not be a true statement.

OK, now that I've seen it twice, I'm officially adding "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" to my list of "all-time favorite movies" -- my personal "Top 25" list. (If I have to drop one of the others to make room for it, that would be "Porky's II". I still like its underlying social message, but it was definately the "least" on that list.)
