    Life On Mars

Great show but the Brits had it right the first time.

I'm a huge fan of the BBC version. A great story and cast. Really enjoyed Ashes To Ashes too. Looking forward to seeing the US version.

I haven't seen the UK version (I'll get around to it eventually on DVD, most likely) but I've enjoyed the US version quite a bit (I only hope that it doesn't suffer a pre-mature cancellation--there are always at least two new shows per year that I like that get canceled--and the show has a proper arc with a good ending as it is not a concept that lends itself to an indeterminate run (a la Law and Order or ER or some other serialized dramas). It should get a chance to provide closure.).

        What's happened to Movie Mars?
        by bigburner
The prices at Movie Mars have gone up, the site looks different, and links I've used before no longer work. I get the feeling that Movie Mars has been sold to another company. Does anyone know?

        Nigel.

Mission to Mars and High Fidelity
        by Ken McDaniel
Tonight was double movie night at the McDaniel Theater. Well first is started with a trip to the local restaurant. Needless to say, it's very tough to find good Tex Mex when you're not in Texas.

I first popped in Mission to Mars. Definately one of the better science fiction releases of...

        THE ALAMO ( 2004 version)
        by George Bellefontaine
I realize this bombed at the boxoffice, and it didn't get very good reviews overall, but frankly I enjoyed this film. It was much more gritty and realistic than Duke Wayne's version ( which I also like) with a much different ending as well. The way people dressed during that period is probably much...

Current Halo software version and update issues
        by Chris D
I talked with Paul at Parasound today, and got some good info on the update issue. Apparently yes, the current version available is 6.42. Version 6.49 was developed, but bugs were found, and it is not currently available to the public. If anyone inadvertently has version 6.49, they should contact Parasound...

Mute button down, no version number on 1065???
        by ejfiii
Okay, this could be the most annoying thing ever (well besides my IR system not working). My second 1065 in a month and no matter how long I hold down the mute button, I get no display of the firmware version number. Both of them have done this. The remote and mute button work fine, I push it and it...
