    Hello All,

    Anyone see "THE RUINS" this weekend? Maybe not it only made around 7-ish million.

    It was good but the ending frackin sucked.

      Isn't this movie about some archaeologists that unleash some horrible parasitic worms and take over their bodies.?

          Nope, guess again!

          If they left the movie like the book I'll be happy. where they all died and the vines were left to kill again.

              Yup, Kevin hit the nail.

              I saw it friday. I thought it was pretty good. Lots of gore and a few good laughs. Not great acting but, more than enough to carry the film.

              I went with a friend that read the book. He enjoyed it. His biggest concern was how they would pull off the speaking portion (those that read the book understand). In his and my opinion, it was satisfactory.

              This movie is not for the faint of heart...a lot of detailed gore!

                  I rented this on Blu-ray but it had some kind of a smudge on it that I couldn't clean , so it wouldn't play in my Panny. I returned it and had to settle for a dvd version. Basically, a half dozen young folk ( they're always young, aren't they ) while vacationing in Mexico, take a trip into the jungle...

                  I know this filmed was just okay, but I found a DTS version. A few months ago, I brought a DTS demo disc from dddhouse.com.
                  "UN-FRACKIN-BELIVABLE" The sound rocked the system. If this DVD sounds anything like the demo disc, I'll continue to order DTS films...
