    The Wild

This movie doeasn't rate the trouble of a full movie review in my book, so just a few of my opinions:

    - The flick seemed like it was too obviously knocking off "Lion King" and "Madagascar", perhaps with a bit of "Chicken Little" thrown in.

    - Some good voice acting done by some actors

    - The humor style in the film was too "Looney Tunes-ish", with the cheesy "boing" when somebody gets bonked on the head and stuff. Doesn't fit for a computer animated film.

I can't really even say the movie had potential, because it seems to be based on an idea formulated on the other movies I mentioned, not an original idea.

This is actually the first movie I rented from Netflix on Blu-Ray, and it's considered one of the best BD's out there for PQ. For a good reason, too, the PQ really is superb! Great detail on some items, such as the animals' hair. Too bad that the movie itself doesn't give me any desire to own it.

    I gave it :2: out of :5:

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

    Into the Wild
    by Chris D
Just watched this one, based on strong ratings and that portions are set in the Alaska wilderness.

I was really touched by this movie, mostly about the human condition. I could feel the pain of the main character, although I get the strong impression that he was even more messed up than...

    Looney Tunes- Back in Action
    by Brandon B
The kid got this and we watched it this weekend. On the little TV so can't comment about PQ, but I have to say, this movie didn't suck at all. Was entertaining and had plenty of good gags. I'm a little at a loss as to why it was the worst performer of 2003, and is supposedly one of the 4 biggest...

Wild Target: An actual good movie from 2010?
    by Chris D
In a year of movie stinkers, I was very pleasantly surprised to come across this little gem by random. It's a satirical, silly little comedy about a professional hit man, from a family of contract killers, hired to kill an art thief but instead finds himself protecting her. They are joined by a quirky...

How long is your Netflix or Blockbuster queue? (and how many movie have you rated?)
    by Chris D
I signed up for Netflix about 9 months ago, and have steadily been putting in all my ratings for movies that I've seen. When you do all the numbers, it's pretty amazing.

    - So far, I've rated 1,639 movies. As I come across or think of movies I've seen, I go to Netflix and rate them....

    Wild Hogs isn't bad.
    by Pookie007
I rented it and watched it with the wife. I actually thought it was a pretty good movie. They have a couple cameo appearances also. It passed my "doesn't suck" test meaning I never checked the elapsed time on the DVD player so I could calculate how long until it should end. I don't think...
