    SVS Plus 2

I am buying the Plus 2 model in Dec. and I am wondering why on the black and Piano gloss finish models does it look like there is a grill cover. These are downfiring woffers so why would there be a need for one. Also I seen that an EQ comes with this model, any reviews or pics on this.

My buddy has a Plus 2 in the Piano gloss finish and there is no grill cover. Just a BIG shiny black monster of a subwoofer! There is a pEQ on the back but I'd still recommend a BFD over using that. For the $100 it's worth it and will give you a lot more control.

The grill cover is technically the base plate which protects the woofers just fine. The EQ only comes with the premium finishes so if you go with the standard textured black you don't get it.

Seems to be some negative reaction to the gloss black on here and seen the CMs in gloss black at Best Buy/Magnolia yesterday and I have to say they are very sharp and sleek looking in person! I also liked how the magnets automatically centered the grill. I was wondering how you attached the magnetic...

Noobster build with Piano Black How To
          by kevinm
For the piano black finish.....get ready. This is quite a bit of work. Made MUCH easier with the right tools...but is a bit of bear regardless. Total time took over a month for me including all my orders/lessons learned/and actual finishing. With a second go-round, I bet I could do it over 3-4 weeks only working on weekends. Biggest part is drying time. Figure a day for final sanding/polishing/installing components for the pair.

I tried to do it the poor man's way, but it was exhausting...

Bad News For Canadians Considering Plus Piano
          by George Bellefontaine
Plus Piano has a revised web page up with a lot of information on the new Plus Piano 3200. Sadly, though, Canadians who had been considering the new 3200 will be awfully disappointed to learn of a drastic price change. The Plus Piano 3100 is listed for $3999. Canadian and the new 3200 is listed for $4999....
