    Wharfedael OPUS 2

    Hi

Interested in hearing from anyone who has heard the new Opus line from Wharfedale. My wife is making me change my speakers ( she has hated the way they look since I brought them home, and I just cant take the pressure LOL) I have Von Schweikert VR4 gen III, and love them but its not to be. She saw a pic of the Opus and thought they looked nice.

    thnx

    Stu,
I just got a set of the Opus 3s and love them... they are a very neutral sounding speaker and by far the best speaker I have heard in this price range. I use them 60% HT 40% music and they excel in both. But make sure you have enough power for them, I'm currently using a Yamaha RX-V2095 (rated at 100 WPC) to power mine and it’s not sufficient so I am power amp shopping.

I would say definitely jump on the Opus 2s... Check the prices at Audio Advisor.

      Hello Stu. Hello Vivid.

I auditioned the Opus 2 during the summer and loved them. I agree with vivid, they need good, clean power to get the best out of them.

I can only suggest you audition them and hear them yourself. Only way to know if they are right for you.

I ordered my Opus 2 back in September (Glossy Black) and they should be in shortly. At the time that I ordered, the Glossy Black was only available as a special order. But they decided to start bringing them in for stock, right around the time I ordered. From what I understand the standard finishes for the Opus line (Maple, Rosewood and Piano Black) will all be the high gloss, from now on.

Have you been able to audition the Wharfedale Opus speakers, yet?

          by FroDaddy
I wanted to post a few words about how I am accomplishing glossy black on my speakers now. When trying to achieve this by hand, I had a really tough time finishing my Statements. Before starting that project, I scoured the Internet looking for a glossy black shortcut but came up dry. So after all the...

A few weeks ago I attended a presentation introducing the Vivid Audio Giya 1 and Giya 3 speakers using Devialet amplification and dCS Vivaldi source (CD/SACD Transport, Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC), Master Clock and Upsampler).

The presentation was very interesting. Everything about...
