    speaker terminal in RB-1080????

    Hi,
In my Rotel RB-1080, there are two sets of speaker terminal for both Left and Right channel.

1> Does it matter if i used the upper set or lower set?

2> Are these two sets for bi-wiring purpose?

What is your suggestion? The reason i'm asking because the manual shows only one set or terminal (+ -) for each channel...

    THanks.

    1) No

    2) Yes (among other possibilities)

Your RB-1080 is one of the newer versions of this amp. the manual hasn't been updated, but I believe you're getting a better product (with better speaker connection, among other tweaks)

      Thanks.
I read somewhere that bi-wire is not improving the sound. Is that true, as i have never tried bi-wiring myself. Well, it wouldn't hurt to try as i have wires lying around the house. So in bi-wring , the length of both wires must be the same?

RB 1080 A/B speaker terminal switch?
          by bleeding ears
Hi guys, just a quick question on how the RB1080 (with 8 speaker terminals on back, not 4 ) switches from "A" speakers to "B" speakers?

Is there a switch on the front or back panel?

Rotel's website does not show any switches on the unit for A/B speakers,...

          Hi,

Hope viewers here 've come accross on sound quality of McCormack DNA125 & Quad 909 power amps. How is the over all quality of the sound of these 2 power amps compared to Rotel 1080? I was told any thing above Rotel, I'll 've diminished returns or price performance-wise, it's not...

Hi, I've had my 600s series for a while and just noticed something today on the websites user manual section. I had them birwired since this June and just noticed the part where they showed that the gold bars or links that connect the post should be removed when biwiring. I've had my linked for about...

Biwiring Your B&W's - worth it?

          HI All,
I'm just curious how many of us have biwired our systems. Those who have done so, what are your conclusions?

My system, with 805S's and HTM4S in the front are biwired. These are only the second set of speakers I have owned that permit biwiring. The first were Apogee Calipers...
