Due to a lightening strike and house fire, I've gotten all new equipment. I still haven't set this up yet since my house still has about 3 weeks left of construction. I bought the 1067 Receiver, RDV-1060 DVD player, and the RCC-1055 CD player. I have M&K's S150 THX speaker set with an MX-350 THX sub. I haven't bought the TV but I'm thinking the Mitsubishi 52" DLP will be the one. In anycase, I hope the reviews and quality of the Rotel peices will just knock me off my feet. I had a Marantz receiver previously with a Pioneer Elite DVD and it sounded like the movie theater. This Rotel system should out perform that.
I'm now a Rotel Newbie!

by kemosabeIt's been suggested that I partner the RSP1068/RMB1095 combo with M&K S150/SS150/MX350 speaker combo. Does anybody have any comments about this suggestion?
For a 7.1 setup do I need another amp given the 1095 is only 5 channel?
I'm keen on the speakers, and understand...-

by igy137Is it necessary to chamfer holes for bass drivers?
Planned front plate is 3x18mm or 4x18mm thick.
I made some drawings in sketchup with the driver to visualize, but cannot decide which'd be the optimal in terms of stability and airflow.
What do you think?
Thx,
