It was very difficult finishing my days work knowing that in the trunk was my latest "investment" in electronics, a 1098 to replace my 1066 and an RB 1080 to drive my mains.
I decided to add the components in one at a time so I could ascertain what differences each made. First, of course, comes the 1098. After struggeling unplugging and replugging what seemed like an endless collection of wires, I quickly punched a rough setup in on all the menues and popped in my favorite CD, set up to play in PLIIx music.
I don't have words to describe the difference. Everything that has been said here about the 1098 is for real. This thing is a monster for music.
Tomorrow, I'll add the 1080 into the mix.
