Hello everyone.
After approximately 3 weeks of ownership, here are my quick preliminary thoughts of the RB-1080 upgrade:
1) After 2 weeks of tweaking, my soundstage has increased in both stereo and HT, and I now appreciate 2 channel music much more, marked improvement in this area sonically.
2) Larger and more dynamic soundstage in HT, (now that the fronts are on separate duty with the RB-1080).
3) Bass and midranges seem tighter and therefore more sonically appealing.
Equipment:
1) Rotel RSP-1098
2) Rotel RB-1080
3) Rotel RMB-1095
4) Fronts: Mirage OM-7's (200W/channel)
5) Center: Mirage OC-2
6) Rears: Def Tech BVX
7) CB's: JBL Pro Cinema 3's
8) Sunfire Mark IV sub
Synopsis:
Was the upgrade worth the money?
At this point I would have to say yes, but of course your mileage may vary.
Am I glad I performed the upgrade, yes. Should I have performed the upgrade, probably not ($$, Christmas, etc., darn upgraditis bug).
I welcome any thoughts or comments.
Will, can you hear me now  ?
Regards,
Azeke
