I have a Yamaha RX-V1400 with B&W 601S3's main, LCR60 center and 600S3's rears, I'm thinking about getting the Rotel RSX 1056. Will that make a huge difference in sound quality? Thanks guys.

I find that Yamaha receivers are too bright, and not really powerful. The rx-v14000 is rated at 7x110w, but I suspect it cannot pump out that much power continuously.
The Rotel 1056 recevier is rated at 5 x 75w, but it would be more powerful than the Yamaha across all channels. I also think that Rotel have a better sound than Yamaha receivers, but you need to perform a listening test for yourself before you take my word for it.

I got the dvd2200 today and will be installing it tonite after work.I would like to see if anyone could give me some pointers in proper setup and use.It will be connected to a rotel rsx1056.I had also read somewhere that the digital output should be turned off for dvda/sacd i hope i'm mistaken or this... -
Was wondering if anyone can any insights on the carver amps especiallly sound wise warm, bright etc..I was thinking of adding a rotel amp down the road but saw how budget minded these amps were.How would they do with b&w 603s3 and a rotel rsx1056.Or should i just wait until i can afford a rotel...
