    Newbie Question

    I have a Yamaha RX-V1400 with B&W 601S3's main, LCR60 center and 600S3's rears, I'm thinking about getting the Rotel RSX 1056. Will that make a huge difference in sound quality? Thanks guys.

    I find that Yamaha receivers are too bright, and not really powerful. The rx-v14000 is rated at 7x110w, but I suspect it cannot pump out that much power continuously.

    The Rotel 1056 recevier is rated at 5 x 75w, but it would be more powerful than the Yamaha across all channels. I also think that Rotel have a better sound than Yamaha receivers, but you need to perform a listening test for yourself before you take my word for it.
