    Long Interconnects and Rotel

Has anyone used really long interconnects (about 25 feet) with the RSP-1066? I'm thinking of adding an RB-1050 and a pair of center rear speakers to my RSP-1066/RMB-1075 combo to get a full seven channel system. I could put the new amp back by the speakers and use a 12 year old pair of Straight Wire TMC interconnects that I used to use in a separate stereo system. The other interconnects would only be 3 feet long.

I'm also considering using a long interconnect for my subwoofer so I can move it to the rear of the room. Any feedback on use of long interconnects with Rotel equipment, especially the RSP-1066 is appreciated!
When I get my final config and lengths determined, I'll likely talk to Doug (Lex) about new interconnects and speaker cables...........Terry

Terry, I can't speak as to Rotel specifics, but you should be ok at 25 feet. I actually have problems with going longer than this for video before audio. But up to 25 feet for both is usually ok.

I have had a 23ft and 18ft sub cable on my 1055 and did not have any trouble.
      Regards,
      Matt

Long interconnects vs long cables for 802d/803d
          by joe_s
I will need to choose between long (about 60 feet) interconnects (balanced) between the pre/pro and the amp with roughly six feet speaker cables or alternatively short interconnects (a couple of feet) with about 60 feet of speaker cable from the amp to the speakers. The speakers in question will...

Long interconnects or long speaker wires?
          by Relentless
Well it's amp time for me finally. I have my eye on a pre-driven Boulder 2060 or a pair of Krell 750MCX mono's. Neither will fit on the rack so my choices are to place them next to the rack or the mains. So on to my question.....will I be better off with 6' interconnects and 18' of speaker wire or...

          Hi all,

I need some assistance. I'm currently building a dedicated Theater Room that's 16'8 X 20'1 feet and my question is; What's better, using the long wall or the short wall. In my last room, I got good results using the long wall, but after reading the cardas room setup recommendations...

          Hi all,

I’d like to thank all on this board :T for all of the great insight on gear. It’s been great and I’ve had a lot of fun with the setup. After using some nice gear for a while, the next step is to make sure the room acoustics are maximized prior to thinking about the next steps...

          NEW RSP1066, RMB1095
          by Entice
After months of waiting I just picked up my 1066, and 1095. Both are in Black. I couldnt' wait, and opened up the boxes. To my delight, the 1066 unit that I received came with the RR1050 Remote (whats the difference from the 969 - other than no flip cards?), and a firmware update cord. Powered up the...
