No problem with my Rotel 1056 and HD-Tivo. Hope you get your issue resolved.

Do you have the latest software?

Try a different cable to start with and go from there

My 1066 makes little pops/hiccups when switching between stereo/DD5.1/DTS/etc. It's my understanding that this is a "feature" of the 1066 and has been improved in the 1068. How serious is the sound? Mine are just annoying. This is with my HD receiver or my DVD player, not an HDTIVO (I bought one, and the HDMI port was toast out of the box so I got a refund).

The last firmware update definitely got rid of the major pops that I used to get. If you don't have the latest firmware, then I definitely recommend upgrading to it and you'll notice a big difference. The sounds are just minor now.

              Thanks Club Rotel,

Rotel updated firmware(free) and also installed something for HD at 100$. No more loud pop. Problem fixed.

Also thanks to the guys at Rabsons audio in paramus nj, who helped to send back my 1066 even though i didnt purchase it there.

Hey guys. Well, here I am, a supposed expert, stumped. All at once, my directv receiver started acting up.

The image for satellite, looks kind of like a film that isn't filling the frame quickly enough. not rolling, just sort of like a strobe light really, flashing bright then dark, fairly...

got a malfunction of my bedroom Hughes TiVo/Directv unit (DVR), sigh. This is the 1000.00 original HD unit. ( I have 2 of these) I guess I am going to remove my main unit's hard drive and replace into the problem unit to verify if in fact it is a bad hard drive. It could actually just require a...

                DirecTV problem
                by Lex
I dunno, PC satellite signal is good. So, dish hasn't changed alignment much, and satellite PC is much more sensitive to exact positioning than directv. So, I dunno, I tried the other side of my dual LNB, no change, I tried tipping the dish a bit, thinking it might be signal reception, no change. It's...

Folks, it's been maybe 8-10 months since TiVo was introduced, on the heals of Replay TV. At least Replay was advertised as " Coming" , some time before I had heard of TiVo. Actually, I think the first I heard of TiVo, was the night I bought mine. How's that for a spontaneous...
