i'm having a problem with audio video lipsync going into my toshiba 42 inch plasma using the displays speakers if i purchased a model 1056 receiver would i be able to adjust the delays in the audio video thanks charlie

One of our mod's here (Bing Fung) has a Toshiba RPTV with audio sync issues and that was one of the reasons he first started looking at Rotel gear. The audio delay available through Rotel's gear seems to have fixed his problem so I don't see why it wouldn't work for you

All models, 1056,1067 and the rsp1068 have an audio delay option.
However might I suggest to switch off any digital noise reduction on your plasma for external (comonent/RGB) connections. Since the signal is clean, there is no need to enhance the signal.

I was looking at the specifications of the 1068.
Is that Group Delay the same as Audio Delay to sync the Video and Audio together?
If so, what is the range of adjustment? (i.e. milliseconds)... -
Which is it? Audio or video that's most important to you in your system. Willing to bet, you could list your system contents and I could just about tell you without you telling me. But of course, there is the rare exception where maybe budget just can't keep up. Or then, is it so rare? lol.

Just bought an Oppo DVD 981HD player. I hooked video/audio to TV with HDMI cable, and digital coax audio to my pre/pro.(Emotiva LMC-1 by the way). I am noticing a delay between the audio and video picture. It is slight, but was not there with my last Denon DVD player. I can percieve the delay both... -
i have noticed that with my 1069 there is a sync issue with the video and audio.It seems that the audio is about 1 second behind the video.I thought at first that it maybe that having a 30 foot hdmi cable to my PJ may be the cause but if that was so would not the audio be a second ahead of video?... -

I was looking at getting the New Denon 3805. It's priced at $1900 cdn at my local dealer. I can get this for around $1400 cdn off Ebay for a new in box factory sealed...
