I don't have a clue as to why this piece is not decoding DVD-Audio disc. I've gone thru all of the prompts on the menu screen and I have it connected to the RSP-1066 and the only reading i'm getting is 48khz/8.9-bps...it doesn't even prompt me on the menu screen to select advanced resolution surround or stereo as an option; the only option that's given is the 5.1ch. or 2ch. stereo. Confusing enough is that the blue light is lit indicating that a DVD-A has been inserted but the sound options are not there. Can someone please help me with this before I take this shite back?

by Mike HayesI am considering purchasing a Pioneer 563A ($180) universal player to replace my Toshiba SD5700. I am currently using just the digital connection (not using the 5 analog cables for DVDA). This will be my first experience with DVDA/SACD in conjunction with my 1066 so please bear with me.
