Do you have the main power button on the front 1075 pushed in (on) or is it out (off)? I ask because I know the power button is involved in this, although it's been so long since I've had to deal with this issue I can't remember. Don't forget to read the owner's manual. There is a section on the trigger.

Check you input settings in the menu to ensure your 12V trigger setting is correctly set to the appropriate number.

I'll never forget how stupid I felt when I first hooked up my RSP1066 and RMB 1075 with the 12v triggers. Couldn't get anything to work...till I figured out I was trying to use cable with 3 conductor mini plugs instead of 2 conductor. Give yours a check, it's an easy mistake to make.

If you have a dmm see if you have rougly 12vdc (11.xx will work, not precisely regulated) available @ the plug. When I recieved my RSX-1055 the trigger didnt work, through process of eleimination I determined it to be hardware, I proceeded to pull the cover off and found a small 3 position connector unplugged from one of the pwa's. They could have used a tad longer cable harness for when connected it was taught.

As mentioned make sure its a mono cable and not stereo. also check to make sure you have that amp trigger set up in the menu properly (set each input to ALL) and finally check to make sure you have it plugged into an amp trigger and not the IR input/outputs (I've done that before ops: )

              Defect trigger RMB 1075

              Hello,

I've got a (high end) HTPC and asked the manufacturer to place a 12 volt outlet on the HTPC to trigger the Rotel amp.

I tried it and it worked, but then I restarted the HTPC and it failed. So it worked a couple of times and then it went dead.

              I opened...

About to pull the trigger: RMB-1075, 1095, or 1077
              by DER
I have a home theater with B&W 803s front and surrounds with the HTM-3 center and a powered subwoofer. I'm upgrading my electronics and have pretty much decided on Rotel. My room is ~3500 cubic feet and I am struggling in my decision about which amp to buy. I'd appreciate any thoughts from others....

              Hi all,

The problem being that my Onkyo doesn't have a 12 volt trigger...
