RB 1080 or Biamp with RMB1075

    Hi Guys ,
I need some advice as to what is best .
I want to add another amp to my RSX1065 to run some B&W604S3's

    Do I :
1.get RB 1080 and biwire the 604's(200w per speaker)
2.get RMB1075 and biamp the 604's (2x120w per speaker and leaves one channel spare for future 6.1)
    3. save the $$$ coz i wont notice the difference

    Thanks

    SteveB.

I know that the RB1080 sounds quite different than the RB1070, however I never compared the RB1080 with the RMB1075. I suspect the RB1080 is better suited for stereo performance.

I am using a RB1070 for my B&W 604s3 fronts and the RMB1075 for the centre and surrounds. I plan to ever upgrade to the RB1090 for my fronts and upgrade the fronts to Nautilus series. Then the 604's become rears and will be bi-amped (since I will also go back to 5.1 iso my curreny 7.1).

If I where you I would take the 1080, if you really want sound improvement. Bi-amping with a 1075 wont give you much. Also getting two 1070's and putting them on bridged mono to power the two 604 is not recommended usually. Its usually better to go for the higher model right away.

I'm having thoughts about upgrading my system and want some advice on which direction to proceed. Currently I have a RMB1075 driving the fronts center and side surrounds of a 7.1 system with a RB1050 driving the rears. I have contemplated two different possibilities. The first is to change the 1050...

Question about adding a second amp to my RMB1075
      by nash
I've currently got an RMB1075 and an RSP1066 with Definitive Technology speakers. I've ordered some new towers for the main L/R (Def Tech 7001SC's) which should be a considerable upgrade from my current towers (Def Tech ProTower 400's). I am going to move my ProTower 400's to the rear.

      RB1080 Advice
      by wernert
I am considering to complement my existing RMB1075 with a RB1080 which will be used to drive the front speakers. I demoed the RB1070 a while ago, but it was not much an improvement on the existing RMB1075 in 2 channel mode. The RB1080 is definitely the one for me. After reading several articles in...

      rb1080 or rb1075

      Hi all,

I have an rsp1066 and plan to upgrade my power amps. My use is probably 50/50 for HT and music. While I find the HT sound is great, I feel something lacking when it comes to music in stereo.

I'm thinking of getting an rb1080 for the front speakers and using my...
