I currently have a nice 2 channel system with a pair of RC-1070 preamp and RB-1070 Amps driving a pair of Harbeth Monitor 30 speaker. I listen mainly to CDs with a Philips Cd-460 player, and occationally watch DVDs with the DVD player attaching to the aux output on my 2 channel Amp system.
I want to set up an HT environment to take advantage of the additional channels provided by the music DVDs, and am wondering if getting an receiver such as the RSX-1056 to driver the main and back channels, and retain the RB-1070 for the front mains is a good idea.
However, as I listen mainly to CDs, I still like to utilize my current 2 channel set up of going through the RC-1070 when listening to CDs.
Can someone please let me know what is a proper set up for the requirement above, or what better solutions are there.
Thanks.
