    Urgent ! Please Help ..

    I have just unpacked the brand new RSP-1066 (old stosk from retailer).

    Isn't there supposed to be a blue neon light arround the volume knob????

    Because my unit does not have that rounded blue light on !!!

    I thought i have seen it like that (blue around the volume knob) in pictures in the internet...

      Hi Ricardo - looks that way in pictures but ... the 1066 does *not* have a blue light ring around the volume knob.

      Besides ... would you want to see a blue circle in the darkeness when you watch DVDs etc ? Personally I'd be distracted and would like to see as few lites as possible.

          The blue ring around the knob (sounds a bit rude ops: ) doesn't actually light up. It must have the lighting in the photo. Sorry to dissapoint you.

              now i'm much happier...

              I just thought it was faulty...

              Anyway , the RB-1080 came from the retailer damaged at the edge of the lateral front heatsink... :-(
              I will have it exchanged for a new unit..

                  Ricardo, once I read about an enhancement from a company offering you to light the volume knob of RSP-1066. Can’t remember if that was a post in this forum or somewhere else in the Internet, maybe you can search for it.

                          I just got my 1066 pre/pro last night and noticed that the blue surround around the central knob wasn't lit up. I could've sworn that, in some of the pictures I've seen, there was a light around the center knob. Am I just hallucinating???

                          I have a Rotel RC 1082 pre amp and recently the light on the volume knob doesnt work

                          I wonder if there is a solution for tis or the pre amp needs replacement
                          I tried to connect an ipod on the front side that says media player and couple times the amp went off....

                          RSP 1068 Standby Light Is Out

                          I had been noticing over the past few months that the fluorescent blue standby light on my 1068 would occasionally flicker but now it is completely out. Everything else seems to still work fine. Is this going to be a problem down the road or am I OK if I just live with it as is? I'd rather not send...

                          Does anyone know if the volume knob on the 1068 is supposed to be illuminated? I noticed that there is a blue ring around the knob and thought maybe it was supposed to light up?
