ajpoe I did some playing around with your front photo to try and lighten it up a little...its not great but its now a little easier to see your wonderful set up...and congrat's on the 1068/1075 combo :W

Andrew, I haven't purchased the 1068 yet, but you definately have me leaning back that direction. My digi camera does very poor in low light so the one you edited is the best it's going to look for the full setup (thanks btw). Here is a better pic of my rack although it's still not great.

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice! I will get a couple of door stops and will take apart the TV rack and move the smaller shelf to the bottom of the rack and move the larger shelf up. I am sure going to get a good workout out of this considering that the SONY TV weights close to 300 pounds... :B I guess I will have to call my buddy over to help me move this sucker.

Hi NYNY, how about trying some Auralex MoPads, they come with a wedge to allow them to used flat, or in reverse to increase the angling effect. They're reasonably priced, I have them under my centre to angle it down, and a level set under my fronts. Has definitely tightened up the bass.

I have my 1095 hooked up to the system now. It's sounds great :T

I Played the Steely Dan DVD-A "Everything Must Go" in Multi Channel, and it had so much ambience, I can't image listening to the DVD-A in Stereo. It does sound good in Stereo, but in Multi Channel it is superior with more dimension and depth, I prefer it for this DVD-A. :T

It feels more open, with a more seamless stage I think due to equal power and same amps. That will change though as I go get some splitters and Bi-amp my mains with the 2 extra channels of the 1095. I tried using 1 ch for the sub, but it could not compete with the Bryston in Bridged Mono.... (that kicks :B )

Great system Bing very neat. Where did you buy that equipment rack? I'm in the market for one just like it. With the 1095 at the bottom do you find that theres enough ventliation for airflow as the 1095 can emit some heat during long use. How much clearance is there b/w the unit and the shelf above it? Sorry for all the questions but I need to get a new rack as my Krell emits some serious heat during long periods of use and will have to go directly on the top of the cabinet where your digital box is sitting (if thats what it is). Once again Rotel has another padawan to add to it's fold. :T

Sithlord, Thanks. The rack is a "Vantage Pro Euro Series" that I bought locally. It was originally a 4 shelf system however I was able to order a custom sized 7.5" add on.

The Standard spacing of it was 9.5" with the one 7.5" space. However to fit the Rotel 1095, I grabbed the feet poles (under the lowest shelf) and coupled them to give me a 12" space for the 1095. The 1095 is 9.5" tall so it now has 2.5" air space above it. It looks like plenty of room :T

I have a rack, that you can custom order.

Actually you can order 7 different shelves (from different sorts of wood to glass)
And about 7 different sizes of tubes, between the shelves.

It ain't cheap, but I find it worth the money. Check out my pictures somewhere in the beginning of this threat.

Fellas, I finally gave in to temptation (thanks to everyone here.. :B ) and took the plunge on the RSP-1068 today. I was going to wait till Rotel put out a new processor that incorporates firewire link, but I guess I can always trade in the 1068 when Rotel does make such a thing.

Here are a few pix I took when I was upgrading the firmware.....it's a fairly simple process, but it does take a while (35 minutes) to install the upgrade.

Wow! I am very impressed with the upgrade, the sound is noticeably better (I was using my old receiver as pre before the upgrade). Everything sounded a lot better, especially the bass (it is a lot tighter!). Thanks guys, if it's not for this thread, I would have hold off my upgrade and miss out on the much improved sound. :T

Now I just need to upgrade my DVD player.......Denon 3910 or Onkyo DV-SP1000....hmmm.

When you do a post scroll down a little and hit the "Manage Attachements" button...you can then navigate to the folder that contains your images and upload it to the HTGuide server from there. If you have any questions either send me a PM or post a question in the "Not Ready for Prime Time" area"

Thanks Jason, without becoming elaborate, my Sony Digital Camera took two pictures at different resolutions, however my new Kodak 6.1 does not initially provide that option (via software or hardware). I will research and post pics later of the Ritz Rotel .

Sith not to worry you'll get your reveng in the next Star Wars movie Sorry I didn't comment about your gear...that Krell amp looks like a monster :E

Azeke you can use any image editing software to resize photo's on your PC. There's some nice shareware/freeware apps you can download to do that or else even Microsoft Paint which every PC has installed can do it. Open Paint and open your image...then go to Image on the pull down menu then Stretch/Skew. Just type in a value in the Stretch around 30 percent or so for both horizontal and vertical and click ok. Save that image and you should be good to go.

I couldn't wait to try out my new toys though, so they have some special equipment stands of their own :B. Speakers are Sonus Faber Concerto/Solo/Wall.
