    Rotel RSX-1065 Probs! Who can help?

    Hi,

    this is my first post here and sadly a problem post!

    I bought for 3 months a Rotel RSX-1065. The default firmware was a little bit older. Rotel said, I have to upgrade of the newest version. I did it and now I have two Problems, which weren´t before.

    1. After every Layerbreak, the DD Sound will stop for 2 seconds, the Receiver changes into pro logic and then into DD again. so I missed full Dialogs of the Movie.

    2. If the Receiver changes the programms f.e. pro logic to dd then the boxes "crack".

    What is it? The Rotel Service Center don´t know about it or will don´t know?! Shall I install the older firmware? Who can help?

          Currently own a Denon AVR3802 and am considering the RSX1065.
          I have a friend who is selling his black faced rsx1065 and we are not finding fair market value prices. Anyone have a link or possible price he and I might agree on?
          My understanding is this is mint condition with all the packaging...

          I guess I'd like to hear/learn advices/experiences from those who have gone this route.

          That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.

          The reason I'm contemplating this...

          yesterday i bought my new toys:

          1x Rotel RSX1065
          4x B&W 603 S3
          1x B&W LCR600
          1x B&W ASW650
          with R&W CDC6 cables

          my only problem is - what SACD Player ? Rotel...

          The back panel of the unit indicates that speaker impedance should not be less than 8 ohms. I had high hopes of driving my KEF 104/2 speakers (nominal 4 ohms). Other Rotel units (e.g., the RB1050 power amp) drive these speakers effortlessly. I'd hate to have to consider the extra $$$ for the RSX1065...
