    Subwoofer level on 1066

    Hi there,

If I wanted to dial up the bass on my sub, what's the difference between raising the sub's setting in the Test Tone menu or upping the setting in the Sub Setup menu? Thanks in advance.

You know I've been wondering the same thing. At first I thought the sub level setting was the same as the LFE trim setting on my old Denon 3300 receiver, but a few members here explained to me that it wasn't. So I still don't know the difference between the sub level setting and the test tone setting.

      Guys,

I read it as the test tone level being the starting point ie. if it was set to 5 then whatever setting you have on the sub level setting would be taken from this starting point ie. if the sub level was -3 then it would be 5 - 3 = 2.

      I hope that makes sense.

The main difference is that the setting in the test tone is the global setting that's used as starting point for all other adjustments. The Sub setup menu has sound-mode specific settings, and those setting are relative to the global setting.

And of course you can change the sub level on the fly from the remote, but that's temporary.

Sub Test Tone Level (should be) Fixed in RSP-1098 Upgrade
          by Aussie Geoff
          Hi,

It was suggested to me by one of my sources that the DSP EPROM update in the latest RSP-1098 firmware release (plus the native EPROM code in the RSP-1068 and RSX-1067) fixed the issue that many of us RSP-1098 owners had with the Sub level in the Test Tone menu being 10 dB too low

Rotel 1066 BM and sub settings??
          by scottnv
I have a couple of questions for the group out there:

I notice the RSP-1066 seems to have two subwoofer settings - you can adjust the sub setting in the test tone screen and also you can adjust it in the subwoofer setting screen. Are these two screens interactive - if you adjust the sub...

I have spoken with Behringer and they have shown serious interest in designing a replacement for the BFD that is more suited to the consumer market. As many of you may already know... the DSP1124 has been discontinued. The replacement FBQ2496 only offers 1 preset and still doesn't get us many of the...
