    RDV-1060 Owners - Please Comment

When I use my Rotel RDV-1060 in Progressive Scan mode, the picture quality actually seems to be more "grainy" and much darker. Has anyone else experienced this? Comments? Is my unit defective?

I bought a ROTEL 1060 DVD Player when they first came out to match my equipment, and I had a problem with strange interference lines - they got even worse on a plasma with Progressive enabled!?

I took it straight back to the dealer, and later found out that there was a problem with the power supplies on these units - in the end I decided to wait for another model because it didn't have Lights Out, or play SACD, which IMO is taking a bit of a risk seeing as SACD appears to be the more popular high-res format of choice these days?

      progressive on RDV1060
      by sirbogey
My RDV1060 came back from Rotel with an exchanged tray. When I put in a DVD or CD, it takes like 10 secs for the disc to load. This was a matter of 2-3 secs before. What have they done to it?

Another question: I changed the picture to watch a movie in progressive mode. When I do that,...

Let me get to the point. Sony is now introducing their first progressive player and in addition, it will support SACD all for $1500. http://www.sel.sony.com/SEL/corpcomm...sumer/626.html

Now I know there are other progressive players out there, but when ThomasW mentioned that he...

I'm putting together a HT setup for the first time. I've had what I consider a pretty good sounding stereo for many years and would like to use any of my existing components if possible to save $$ in the initial stages. I have a ton of questions so please bear with me and I appreciate any help. This...

      Connectingproblem RSP1098 and RDV1060
      by Marcel54
I bought a new DLP TV so I connected my 1060 with component directly to my HD TV set (previously I used SCART). My 1060 is connected to the 1098 with composite for use of the TFT screen. Here's the problem: when I set my 1060 to progressive scan my TFT screen goes haywire (all I see is horizontal disturbance)....
