    Finally Done!!!

    Greetings all,
I've been Lurking/Learning in this wonderful Forum for several months now and with the advent of picking up the final piece of my new system (1066), thought it was about time to sign up and contribute. I started this upgrade path last summer and all that you see in the System Description below has been acquired in the last 9 months...... 8O

My question to you all is this: I made sure to order a 1066 that had the latest Serial # I could get my hands on......only the one I picked up last night ends in the letter "C"???? I didn't notice that on the other units that came in that had lower #'s..... Does this have any significance :?: The other thing I noticed this morning is that the display panel seems to have several scratches in it that you can only see up close but I know that they are there. I know it's a minor thing but after literally surviving on Top Ramen for 9 months to afford all this I'm a little sensitive about my system being as pristine as possible. Anyone else find this in their unit out of the box?
Anyway that's it for the questions from me for now... Just wanted to thank everyone for the amayzing amount of info I've learned from you all...and I now look forward to contributing to the banter

just a thought - did you remember to remove the clear plastic protective covering from the display? Most LCD's come with them to protect the screen, and would make it look like it was scratched.

          New RSP 1066 owner
          by opus
Hi everyone. I am pretty happy to be here as I have wanted a piece of Rotel gear for awhile now and I finally bought a new/demo RSP 1066 that a friend had sitting unused in a closet for a year now. He bought it and never even plugged it in. Anyway I was able to answer most of my many setup questions...

RSP-1066 review, compare to an almost top of the line Yamaha receiver...
          by LEVESQUE
I don't know why but we don't see much talk about this pre-pro anymore, so I've decide to post a "mini-review", because it's a direct comparaison between an almost top of the line receiver and a dedicated pre-pro. I see alot of post on this "hot subject": good receiver or real pre-pro,...

          by caseyconnect
undefinedundefinedI am looking to upgrade my processing at home. I own a AC-3 RSP-970 by Rotel and have enjoyed it for years. I have a Toshiba DVD the decodes DD/DTS. I purchased many years ago at the beginning of DD home theatre.

I am going to spend less that $1000.00 but would love...

Thanks to all who contribute to this forum, as you have helped to steer me in what I think is the right direction. I've been lurking for quite a while, and have learned a lot. I've also been looking at components off and on for 6 months to upgrade from a Denon AVR-3300, and finally ordered the Rotel...
