Just placed my order for the 1066 / 1075 combo yesterday. The good news is that I will be able to take them home tomorrow, the bad news is the 1075 in Silver is on backorder for about a month. The dealer said he would send me home with an all black demo, since a month is too long to wait. :P

Any recommendations for me while setting this all up?

Inform your loved ones why you are missing.

It's not hard to set up but you will love it so much that you won't want to leave the house for days...

    Congrats,

Now that you have an excellent gear, you need a sound pressure meter to set it up. You may want to visit Radio Shack.

      Congratulations.

They are very handy to have, and do make a difference in calibrating your system. Best of all you really don't need anything exotic for general home theater purposes, so that means cheap! The digital radioshack one is pretty much standard nowadays.

You may want to purchase the analog SPM, because I hear that the digital version sometimes will not provide as accurate of a reading (due to fluctuations). I have also heard that some individuals return the digital meter and replace it with the analog version (approx. $35.00), if you can find it.

              is it worth? rsx-1067 vs rsp-1098 & 1075
              by BlueSander
Things move quite quickly for me for the last couple months. Got the 1067 and was very happy. Later on, I got a great deal on a used 1075 from a fellow member up here. It sounds terrible (listening to music seemed like trying to put piece by piece together after putting everything into a blender)connected...

Very excited and happy with my pickup of a Rb-991. Recently purchased a pair of 601 s3 for a secondary listening room, so I went back to my local dealer regarding Rotel equipment. I was interested in the RB1070, but the dealer had a used RB991, so for around the same price as a new 1070, I figured...

              ROTEL 1066/1075 vs. 1055/1070
              by doodleboytoy
I am strongly considering Rotel for my new HT setup due to the numerous positive reviews I read about it. Currently, my plan is to run Paradigm Studio 60 fronts, Studio CC and Studio ADP surrounds using either a Rotel 1066 + 1075 set-up or a 1055 set-up in a 25’ x 20’ room.

Just came home with my new gear (1068/1075). I won't get to hook them up for almost 2 weeks (leaving on vacation). However, I am still very excited. This should be a HUGE upgrade from my 3 yr old Onkyo reciever.

I do have some questions. I hooked up the 1068 to verify which software...
