    OK, I just joined Club Rotel!

    My equipment:
    RSP-1066 (Ser 2381...)
    RMB-1075
    RMB-1050

    Sources:
    Yamaha S2300 DVD Player
    Zenith SAT-520 HDTV STB

    Video:
    Sony VPH-D50Q CRT Projector

    Unfortunately my Monster Power Conditioner does not come until this Wednesday. Full report next weekend, I promise!

      Congratulations

      Rotel gear is great (I have RSP 1066, RMB 1080 and RMB 1075 with Def Tech speakers). I am thinking about Yamaha universal player as well, hence I am awaiting your report eagerly. I have Toshiba DVD player which does DVD - audio, but I want to listen to old Rolling Stones in SACD

          I'm interested in that new Yamaha universal as well. I'm curious about DVD-A and SACD, but not curious enough to run out and buy the first generation of players. But maybe now is the time.

                  A quick update: It appears that everything will be delivered by Wednesday, so I should be up and running that night. I will certainly post my Yamaha 2300 observations also.

                  One thing: I did plug in the 1066 and checked the firmware rev and it is 2.2.2. Any compelling reason to upgrade at this point?

                      You'll love your setup and you'll love your S2300 (I've had it for 3 months now). It does take a little time for the Yamaha to break in though.

                      Guess you won't get much sleep Wed. night 8)

                          Okay, well yesterday I got myself a RMB-1095, I couldn't pass up the price on it and it fit into my budget.

                          I really had wanted the CineNova Grande 5, but I just couldn't justify the extra money for it, nor could I have lifted that thing by myself to get it into place! HOLY CRAP....
