    new member- gotta query

Hi folks ! I've got a modest system and always looking to improve my setup. The current gear consists of the Polk rti series with an H/K receiver(w/preouts)

Do amps bring out better details and nuances? Or is that left to the processor? I'm looking on adding the 1075 amp to my setup and wondering how that could improve the musical fidelity to my system.

I hear mixed opinions on this issue. I personally think it is BOTH that make the difference with the sound quality.

      boothbrave-
Welcome to the forum. While amps can add a slight flavor to the music, their effect is usually not as great as other factors. However, more, clean power is always going to let your speakers do the best job possible. Distortion caused by pushing an inadequate amp beyond it limits is audible and can even damage your speakers, in extreme cases. Buy quality and you won't be disappointed.

Opinions on RB-1090 for my Polk RTI 2000's?
        by TonyStarks
        Hey Guys!

Have'nt posted in a long time, usually just reading the posts, but would like to hear you're thoughts on the RB1090. I have the 1098, 1095 & 1075, but would like a really strong 2 channel. I have a pair of Polk RTI 2000's for front and rear. The reason for 2 5 channel amps...

        RB-1080 to drive Polk RTI-12s?
        by AMPER
One more question I would like to throw out. Does anyone out their Have a RB-1080 hooked up to Polk RTI-12s? The reason I ask is because theese speakers are rated 50w-500w. I'm a little concerned if the 200w amp will drive them enough. Everything that I have read on line say that they are good, but...

Sigma SSP review and a query
        by Audio_ElF
For anyone interested: HiFi News in UK have a review of the Sigma SSP and Amp2 in the August 2015 issue. Reviewed purely as a 2 channel system they felt it was good but not exceptional for the price but a good bridge between 2 channel and multi-channel.

One query I did have was that...
