Blown up my RSP 1066 :( , mayby also one power amp

I have blown up my pre amp, I think........

I got my new Rotel gear, hooked it all up, and enjoyed a movie. After the movie, I''ll move my Rotel gear to the final position, a few inches to the left, and turned it a few degrees.

Bang! Loud noices......... Put everyting out, but it was to late. I also think one of the power amps has gone. Luckely, all warranty.

The gear is now transported to the local dealer, I hope that they can fix It. Waiting, waiting. It takes on or about 2-3 weeks. If they can fix it, otherwise, they will ship it to the distribitor of Rotel Netherlands.

LOL. Watch out for E, he's dangerous! He's the static man. One little touch and you might get hurt, hehe.

On the serious side, good luck Blue-Eyes. Maybe when you moved the gear, you pulled some of the connections off by accident, which caused the malfunction?

Hopefully it’s just a fuse. Oh yes, and I think Mr. E just shocks the RSP-1066 that need HD bandwidth upgrades. And of course he gets it for free

Sorry to hear that and Good luck,

Really cool looking 2 channel gear
                by MichaelW
For a long time, I was not concerned about the looks of the gear I bought, basically a lot of black boxes that did not look interesting. Hey, at least all the gear looked uniform. That was then and now I want a peice of audio gear that looks as good as it sounds.

                So I thought it would...

                Hello everyone -

My friend recently purchased a new house and is swapping out the existing Home Theater gear with a new setup. He offered some of the old components to me. Included in this group are a couple of Rotel pieces - RC-972 and RSP-976.

B&W Nautilus Tweeter blown adhesive failure design fault

My tweeters failed on my N802. After examining them carefully I discovered that the foam surround is stuck onto its plastic mounting, and the adhesive had failed which allowed the voice coil to come out the gaps and overheat...
