    Stacking Amps ?

Wondering if it is okay to stack 2 Rotel Amps on top of one another? Think it would be a problem? Running out of rack room.

no problem at all. go two amps stacked. rb-991 on a rmb-1075 (resp 15kg, 17kg)

the rsp-1066 is above the rb-991 placed on some dampers.

it shouldn't be a problem If you need more space between them simply cut up a mouse pad and place some under each of the feet. This will raise them up a little and prevent one scratching the other.

That mousepad is so versatile! Will we be seeing a pamphlet, "20 A/V Uses With Mousepads" soon?? Hehe.

Does this mean I can ignore Rotel's recommendation of 4" of space all the way around the amp?

              Andrew,
How many mouse pads do you go through in a year? :?

so long as you have a few inches around the amps you should be ok...obviously a closed gear rack is going to be a problem but if it has an open front I think you'd be ok. At least my two HK amps have been fine in a similar fashion for months.

I've gone though a few mouse pads this past year but since we just moved into our first home we have more need for them They're great under beds and tables etc to stop them scratching our hard wood floors

I need to put some pennies underneath my front towers. I've put some "freckles" in my hardwood floor with their spikes.

any harm in stacking rotel amps?
                    by BlazeMaster
Is there any harm in stacking 2 rotel amps on top of each other? I'm thinking about getting the 1080 and already have the 1075. Due to rack space limits I will be forced to stack them on top of each other. They are both the same weight, with the 1075 a little taller of a chasis, is there any potential...

                    Hi

I have heard that this is the best forum to talk Rotel.

I am thinking of buying an used Rotel RB991 to add to my HT setup. I will use the pre-out of my Denon AVR 3805 to connect to the power amp to drive my Dynaudio Audience 82 speakers.

                    I have heard comments...
