    Autodetect

Hi - I recently purchased a RSP-1066 and hooked my DVD player to it using digital coax. I'm finding out that when CDs are played using the DVD, the unit autodetects (for 44.1 KHz etc) momentarily in the space between songs before resuming and displaying the proper decoding level - 44.1 KHz. This causes the signal to be absent for the 1st half sec of the song and it's driving me crazy. Solution greatly appreciated. :?

    Hi,

Are you saying that it does it through the entire CD?

Mine does it if I switch the source to CD and only at the beginning of the CD. I just skip back and it plays fine even if I change CDs.

    Please also look this thread.

    Thanks,
    Maziar

Yup - does it for the entire CD ... at the beginning of every track. Am resigned to buying a CD player with better DACs and using the analog outputs.

Will switch over to the new thread (got some more things i need to ask) - apologies to all but I didn't check b4 sending this post out ...

        by ajpoe
Can someone please walk me through the process of getting my HTPC to output my audio at 44.1 khz instead of 48 khz. I have run an optical cable from my SPDIF out on my soundcard to my processor for signal testing purposes. I have installed ASIO4ALL v2 and that didn't work regardless of the settings...

I'm one of the first Norwegian RSP 1068 owners :T

Got the box in last nigth, and has only 1,5 hours of use so far. The firs thing I tried to was to connect my Phillips 963 SA to the dig.in on 1068, with upsampling enabled. But the sound was terribe and the 1068 display says 192 kHz....

        1068 - KHZ display
        by Stevebez
Was wondering what the display on the 1068 was on about when the processor displayes - 48kHz for DD sources and 44.1 for CD's etc ... is there any occasion when it would display 96 or 192 ... ?? Is this source dependant?

Even for HDCD sources the kHz reading remains at 44.1.
