Stereoplay is gonna review the RSX 1095 surround receiver next month. Does anyone has any news about this monster. Price will be approx. 3000 Euro. Maybe Stereoplay ( German audiomagazine ) is confused and they mean the RSX 1065.

Stereoplay has already issued a review of the RSX-1065, that was in March 2002. They rated the RSX-1065 as one of the best AV-receivers.
It would be strange if they do it again, I guess. -
I contacted Rotel and they said they have no plans for an RSX-1095 in the near future. But... they will be introducing a new receiver at a lower price point than the RSX-1055 sometime later this year. (Note: this will NOT replace the RSX-1055, it will be in addition to it.)
No time frame and no projected price or specs at this time.
You think Stereoplay could have meant: RMB-1095?

You know... one of the most impressive things, IMHO, about ROTEL at this point. Is their exceptional communication with their customers. I have sent 3 or 4 emails, and have gotten a helpful, friendly, informative and courteous response, within 1-2 business days, EVERY SINGLE TIME.

and sorry, I also never heard anything about an RSX 1095. The only I
know is the ampflifier with that number.
In the March-issue w'll review the fine sounding RSX 1055.
For the may-stereoplay w'll receive the brandnew and much promising
prozessor-preamp exclusivly.

That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.

The back panel of the unit indicates that speaker impedance should not be less than 8 ohms. I had high hopes of driving my KEF 104/2 speakers (nominal 4 ohms). Other Rotel units (e.g., the RB1050 power amp) drive these speakers effortlessly. I'd hate to have to consider the extra $$$ for the RSX1065... -

If you had a RSX-1067 with a RMB-1095 which would be the best way to hook them up to five speakers ? Would it be : -
1. RSX-1067 as Preamp, while using the RMB-1095 to drive all five speakers.
or
2 Bi-amp all five speakers using both... -
