I am going to upgrade my 1066 to the current firmware using my laptop which runs XP pro. Should I expect any problems because of XP?

I've updated my 1066 using XP many times without any issues (though it does seem to be a tad slower than Win2K)
Anyone know if you can use a USB to serial adapter for those of us who have "Legacy free" computers or for Mac users?

I have also happily updated my 1066 using an XP Pro laptop. worked fine and interestingly, if the leave the machine plugged in in normal use, all the front lcd panel updates are reflected on the serial port (by the looks of it).
I used a sony vaio with no serial ports, ubt I did use a pcmcia serial port and that worked fine.
I imagine a usb to serial would work.
