    RLC-1040 and RSP-1572... which outlet?

So I recently scored an RLC-1040, which as most of you know has outlets designated "Digital Filter", which the manual states is "for Digital Components (CD, DVD, DVR, CATV/SAT, Flat Panel Monitors, Hi-Def tuners, etc.)", outlets labeled "Analog Filter" "for analog-based equipment (TUNER/AUX and Preamp/Receiver)".

My question is, isn't the RSP-1572 a ""digital component", and therefore shouldn't it be plugged into the "digital filter"? Or should it be plugged into the "Preamp/Receiver" labeled analog filter outlet?

    Thanks.

I have essentially two 1080's running my system. I honestly haven't noticed much difference in which outlet what is plugged into. Not really sure how much differences they really put into the outlet groups.

I do know the two high current are different and work great for amps, etc.

Great, good to know. I think I'll plug my phono preamp into the "analog" outlet and the RSP-1572 into one of the digital banks.

Thanks for the quick response Kevin.

does the RLC1040 have input and output for ethernet cable?
        by BlazeMaster
I looked at the specs on both the RLC1040/1080 and the pictures shows that the RLC1040 has conditioned in/outlet for either phone line or ethernet line. I'm more interested in the conditioning for the ethernet cable, but the specs state that only the RLC1080 has the ability to condition ethernet cables....

Hi, I am demoing the P3 and A21. There is substantial buzzzzzzzz/hisss coming from my speakers that can easily heard from 1 ft away. With my Rotel 1080 amp I did not have this issue.

I have the ground lift switched activated on the back of the A21. This does not help. I have verified...

        RC1570 vs RSP1572
        by TimbaLand
I currently own an RSP1572 and I'm wondering if the RC1570 would be much better than the RSP1572. Anyone with some experience on this?

Active Cauer-Elliptic filter design in 20 minutes
        by BobEllis
In a couple of threads recently there has been some discussion as to how to create an active analog Cauer-Elliptic filter. I've made some up in a simulator and thought I'd share my results.

I haven’t got a clue how to run through the math to determine component values. Lancaster’s Active...
