    RSP1572 PC Connection

    Hi guys

What are the options of playing music from a PC to the RSP1572 without having to utilize an outboard DAC?

Option 1 - use a co-ax or optical connection from your PC motherboard to the RSP1572. If you don't have one obviously it's worth some research as you can often add one to a desktop motherboard and with laptops there is often an optical output available as part of the headphone (or line out) socket.

Option 2 - utilise an external USB to SPDIF converter: these can be obtained from around $99 / £80 from reputable brands (cheap no-name from China brands go for less). Something like http://www.peachtreeaudio.com/x1-usb...converter.html would be ideal.

Option 3 - add a PCI sound card such as ESi Juli@ XT to a desktop.

Option 4 - forget about digital and use a simple 3.5mm to 2x RCA cable. This is the lowest quality option. The 3 above should all be on a par generally speaking.
