    Rotel RSP976 RSP-976 just died

    Hey all,

    I have a Rotel RSP976, have had it for about 10 years, worked OK until last week, and this weekend wound't turn on. I have 0 technical knowledge about electronics, Rotel guys said they may not have parts even if I sent it in, but they will look at it for free. Some used units are on eBay for about 200/- USD - but was wondering if there any any stupid gotcha fixes I should try first.

    When connected it does a click, but the display does not come on, not does the standby light.

    Except for the tiny click on plugging on, it's just not there.

    Any help is much appreciated.

              I would like to share my 2nd upgrade experience with you so hopefully you would not run into the same issues I had. I have a Rotel RSX-1057; however, the issue described below would apply to any upgrade as it was not a Rotel problem.

              I just traded out my Rotel RMB-1095 and Monster HTS1000mkII for a Rotel RMB-1075, Monster HTS5000mkII and Rotel RSP976(v2). Now I have a dillema. Currently I'm using a Yamaha RX-V1400 as a pre/pro, but now I have this 3week old 976. If you had to choose which one would you keep. HELP
