RMB 1095.....seems like volume lowers as it warms up. HELP

I'm trying to figure out if there is something wrong with my Rotel RMB 1095.

The volume lowers from initial turn on up to 45 minutes later and then stabilizes.

Thought it might be my hearing but I can leave the room for a while and come back and find that it doesn't sound any louder.

Does this sounds like there is something wrong with my amp?

If the volume changes you claim to hear are true, this is probably best verified on the test bench by a technician. Unless someone else has a similar experience, we would only be guessing as to what may be wrong. At 13 years old, the amp could do with a checkup anyway.

I can send you the service document so you can check to see if the output is in spec. Just need an Multimeter and to (basically) take the cover off. You'll find adjustable pots and can put the amp back in spec and see if that fixes things.

How about just using an SPL meter to check if it's as loud at power up as it is later on.

I agree. An SPL meter with Rotel's pink noise emitter (or a test CD) should verify if this issue is true. Also be aware that with Rotel products, you can go into the menu and set the volume level where you want it on startup.

            RMB-1095 on 15 amps

Has anyone not changed their breakers and in wall wiring to accomodate the RMB-1095?

            Any problems?

It uses 1200 watts according to the spec and when you add in the tv, xbox and everything else you get close to the 15 Amps my breaker and wires are rated at. If you have...

            Volume control on the RSX-1055
            by bambahtg9700
Does anyone else have problems controlling the volume on the RSX-1055 when using the remote. I've used the the native remote and other universal remotes but the result is the same.

I cannot hold down the volume button so that the sound level lowers/rises continuously. I have to press...

            Could this work: RMB-1075 + RMB-1092?
            by ShadowZA
I'm planning a 2006 upgrade and am wondering if using two different spec power amplifiers could provide a workable solution.

            Presently I have an RMB-1075 driving 2 B&W Nautilus 804's (fronts), 2 B&W CM2's (surrounds) and 1 B&W CMC centre speaker.

            My plan, for...

            1048 Volume adjustment
            by bluecar
I currently use an RMB-976 to drive the zone two output from my 1068. I've just added a fourth pair of zone two speakers and so I was looking at the 1048. The step-down in wattage should be ok and I wouldn't mind the trigger and matching looks.

However, what I'd be missing is the external...

Is there an "optimum" point on the volume dial with respect to an amplifier?

For example, if I were to want an actual room sound volume of say 85db, would it be better to use a smaller 1075 amp running at 70% of its max capacity to achieve this volume level, or would it be...
